PROVOKE initiative:
promoting
scientific vocations
Know the history of PROVOCA here
PROVOKE is an initiative that seeks to awaken scientific vocations and increase the participation of underrepresented groups, making visible inspiring role models. In addition, PROVOCA seeks to retain and promote female talent through a mentoring program, focused on accompanying and guiding students in the different stages of the scientific path, hand in hand with role models and professionals who decide to promote and develop their skills by becoming certified. as program mentors.
Under the word game Pro + Voca, Promote Vocations, Provoca is a campaign that seeks to instill in public opinion and particularly in the education sector, the concern to engage the entire community to increase diversity and the presence of groups that they are currently minority represented in the areas of science, computer science and mathematics.
We all play a crucial role in promoting these vocations, from parents in early childhood by choosing games and entertainment that do not discriminate on gender; teachers, in their mission to offer unlimited knowledge for girls and boys, breaking down prejudices and stereotypes; those in charge of creating public policies, devising and implementing inclusive education programs in its broad spectrum; and the media, highlighting in their contents the contribution of outstanding women in STEM. The contribution of all actors in society will collaborate in this positive change.
